Northshore Marina contributes to the greater Austin cultural scene and Lake Travis events in a way that presents a study in contrasts: community, family-oriented fun on a lake that likes to party. Relaxing cruises with the backdrop of dockside beer and barbecue events.
The biggest contrast: Northshore Marina is the place for Lake Travis visitors who spend most of their time stuck on land, and can’t wait to get on the water.

2026 Northshore Marina events on Lake Travis
All-Day Spring Clean-Up – Saturday, March 14, 2026
Docks clean, waters pristine. That’s the goal at the 2026 Spring Cleanup at Northshore Marina. The event is a soft introduction to the spring season and a great way to enjoy the lake and connect with fellow boaters while having fun just before St. Patrick’s Day. We’ll have the cleaning supplies and a staff ready to haul off your unwanted items. We’ll focus on clearing debris from the docks and surrounding water, improving safety, and preserving the beauty of Lake Travis and Northshore Marina. Grab your gloves, wear some green, and help us make a difference.
Easter Egg Hunt and Potluck Brunch – Saturday, April 4, 2026, 10 a.m.
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt & Potluck Brunch is ready to brighten Easter weekend with a potluck brunch. We’ll also have an egg-dyeing and Easter craft station stocked with everything the littles need to create colorful masterpieces. Bring your Easter basket, something to share with the group, and readiness for a morning of festive and delicious cheer.
Mother’s Day Brunch – Saturday, May 9, 2026, 10 a.m.
One day isn’t enough to celebrate what mothers do all year long. So join us the Saturday before Mother’s Day for a relaxing morning centered around Mom. Bring your family and a healthy appetite for a wonderful mother’s morning on Lake Travis.
Start of Summer Party and Folds of Honor Fundraiser – Saturday, May 16, 2026, 6 p.m.
Each year, we like to make sure that Lake Travis knows summer is beginning, and raise money for a great cause at the same time. We’ll host the annual Start of Summer Party on May 16 with a new theme: Coastal Cowboy. Yes, we encourage you to dress up. All proceeds from the event will benefit Folds of Honor, an organization we support wholeheartedly that provides educational scholarships for the families of fallen service members and first responders, and service members and first responders who were disabled in the line of duty.
Father’s Day Brunch – Saturday, June 20, 2026, 10 a.m.
There’s only one real way to honor fathers on their special day: Feed them. Join us for a Father’s Day Brunch Buffet on Saturday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. We’ll gather for a relaxing lakeside morning. The Northshore team will prepare the breakfast – you bring Dad.
Northshore Marina Barbecue Potluck Party – Saturday, July 18, 2026, 6 p.m.
Enjoy Northshore’s Barbecue Potluck Party with backyard BBQ vibes, great food, and live country music that’ll have you tapping your boots. Show us your best family recipe or try something new – a dock full of hungry eaters will be ready to taste-test your best brisket, ribs, sausage, or sides. It will be a relaxed evening event on Lake Travis with music, good company, and plenty of fun. Bring your family, your favorite dish, and your dancing shoes for a perfect summer night!
Northshore Marina End-Of-Summer Luau – Saturday, August 8, 2026 – 6 p.m.
Aloha! We’re bringing the island atmosphere to Lake Travis with a night of tropical fun, delicious quesadillas, and live music. BYOB or bring a cocktail to share, and enjoy a refreshing glass of Hawaiian-themed non-alcoholic punch (We cannot promise no pineapples were harmed in the making of this event). Dress in your best Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, or tropical prints, and we’ll have plenty of island activities to make you forget you started the day in Central Texas.
Docktober Fest – Saturday, October 17, 2026, 2 p.m.
You hoped you would get a chance to raise that one-liter beer stein, and Northshore delivers. Join us on the Northshore docks for a gourmand’s dream evening of German-inspired food, unique beer and cider tastings, and live music. Here’s the twist: we ask each guest to bring a six-pack of a unique beer or cider. We’ll provide sample cups so everyone can try everything and share their favorites. Classic German food will include pretzels, bratwurst, and hearty drink-pairing dishes to welcome fall on Lake Travis.
Thanksgiving Potluck Lunch – Saturday, November 14, 2026, 2 p.m.
Our annual Thanksgiving Potluck Lunch at Northshore Marina brings together great company during a season of thankfulness with a chance to give back. We’ll provide the turkey, so feel free to bring your favorite side dish, dessert, or drink to share with family and friends. We’re partnering with the City of Jonestown, and we ask attendees to please bring canned goods to donate to those in need in our community. We’re excited to break bread together and give thanks in a beautiful lakeside setting.
Ugly Sweater Crockpot Cook-Off and Lighted Boat Parade – Saturday, December 12, 2026, 2 p.m.
Humans have varied talents – we happen to be looking for the ones who have a mastery of wearing ugly fabric. Bring your best ugly sweater game with a crockpot full of deliciousness (extra credit if the food is ugly but delicious), and your beautiful faces to celebrate the season in style. We’ll have prizes for the best dishes, the ugliest sweaters, and more, so be sure to bring your A-game!
Lake Travis Lighted Boat Parade – Saturday, December 12, 2026 – 6 p.m.
The first annual Lake Travis Lighted Boat Parade in 2025 was a hit, and we run it back as a favorite Lake Travis holiday event in 2026. The event is a collaboration between Northshore Marina, VIP Lake Travis, Emerald Point Marina, and Lake Travis Lodges Marina. Starnes Island and the surrounding shores are fantastic locations to watch the festive Lake Travis merriment.
