Our central location on Lake Travis
Northshore Marina is located at the deepest part of Lake Travis, so visitors can frequent the marina all year round without worries. Additionally, not only are we one of the closest marinas near Devil’s Cove, but we are just a quick cruise to Starnes Island and down the road from The Hollows. Northshore Marina truly is at the center of everything cool and exciting on Lake Travis.
When you visit the marina by land, start on RM 1431. Next, it’s a quick turn on Destination Way, then an immediate left onto Old Burnet Road. Travel down Old Burnet Road for a little over two and a half miles until you reach Lantern View Drive. Turn right onto Lantern View Drive and keep going until you hit Northshore Marina at the end of the road.

Lake Travis destinations
The convenient gas on Lake Travis and stocked ship store are a couple of reasons that set Northshore Marina apart from other Lake Travis marinas. Another reason is its convenient location to a few of Lake Travis’s favorite destinations.
Devil’s Cove
Devil’s Cove is a large hollow that’s attracted generations of party-seekers and boaters due to its size and secluded location on the lake. Luckily for our visitors, Northshore Marina is the closest marina to Devil’s Cove on Lake Travis. So, whether you need to pick up some necessities or fill up the gas tank — Northshore Marina is basically a hop, skip, and a jump away.

Starnes Island
Located right at the mouth of the Sandy Creek arm of Lake Travis is the historic Starnes Island. The island is almost as popular of a party spot as Devil’s Cove. However, at Starnes Island, you’ll see anchored double-decker tour boats that aren’t allowed in Devil’s Cove.
According to a local source, the island has an interesting history. At first Starnes Island was just a hilltop in Travis County before the Mansfield Dam’s construction. Then, as the reservoir filled in, locals knew the island as “Rattlesnake Island,” a refuge for rattlesnakes escaping the water forming Lake Travis. Years later, Starnes Island even earned the nickname “Monkey Island” after becoming the setting of an urban legend involving an escaped primate.
Make your way over to the island from Northshore Marina by following its coordinates here.
Hippie Hollow Park
Another famous destination on Lake Travis is Hippie Hollow Park. Unlike Devil’s Cove and Starnes Island, Hippie Hollow Park is for adults only. That’s because Hippie Hollow Park is the only public park in Texas where clothing is optional. Therefore, visitors must be 18 or older to visit this tourist attraction.
Before you head over to Hippie Hollow, review the official park page for recent announcements and updates here and don’t forget to stock up on sunscreen at our marina store.
